Our primary care clinic is looking for a Family Medicine Physician to join our team. You will conduct exams, order tests, and prescribe medicines or implement treatments. We attempt to focus on a higher quality of care rather than a higher quantity of patients, which allows us to see patients on a regular basis and provide comprehensive care. Applicants must have a license to practice medicine and board certification (or eligibility) in internal medicine, family medicine, or obstetrics and gynecology. You should also have a valid DEA registration number. Experience in family practice is beneficial.

Tasks
- Examine patients and take their histories, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
- Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
- Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases
- Advise patients on health care
- Communicate health promotion, disease, illnes and accident prevention to patients
- Perform patient advocacy role
- Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care
- Provide acute care management
- Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
- Provide emergency care
- Supervise home care services
